Sisu
Strength Inner resilience Stoicism Unlimited perseverance *** A/N: The word 'sisu' dates back to at least the 16th century, where it appears in Finnish texts. The word ‘sisu,’ like many other words, doesn’t have a one-word translation in English; it has been agreed that 'sisu' is an untranslatable concept. 'Sisu' originates from the word ‘sisus,’ which in Finnish literally means ‘guts’ or ‘intestines.’ Some say the word ‘sisu’ explains Finland, at least the Finland of some time ago.

The Art of Allowing
We often live exhausting lives, perhaps because we are always trying to fight against life's torrents. We are used to clinging tightly—feeling resentful toward those who leave and fearful of the unknown.
