Bradford C. Freeman’s $50 Million Gamble: Can Money Buy Stanford Football Relevance?
Look, I’ve covered enough college football to know when a program is desperate. And brother, Stanford football isn’t just desperate—they’re basically that friend who keeps buying rounds at the bar hoping people will stick around for last call.

CFL Week 17 Recap: Don't Mess With Success
We need to talk. I didn't address this in my Week 16 recap, but I have to now. It's old news, but it's still fresh. As the saying goes, "There'll be some changes made." Very stupid ones. Los Angles Rams Wide Receiver Puka Nacua Makes History Against the San Francisco 49ers
Sometimes you witness history in the making, and sometimes history smacks you upside the head like a blindside hit from Ray Lewis. 49ears'WR Kendrick Bourne goes from doghouse to penthouse in four days
It's been a long time since anyone said anything about Kendrick Bourne—and that's not a good thing. In the NFL, things can swing wildly in the course of a week. One minute you could be when a coach is chewing you out not only in front of everyone but for everyone. Then a full four days later, you could be the mental spark the locker room needed. You could be the receiver making catches that finishes drives and moves the chains.

NFL Week 4 Recap: They're Back, Baby?!
Have the rumors of the Kansas City Chiefs' demise been greatly exaggerated? When the Chiefs started 0-2, we all celebrated. We said it was over. Their next game was the Giants; we knew they'd win that one, but even so, Baltimore was next. I was immensely confident that the Ravens would beat down the Chiefs. So the game was at Arrowhead. In my view, all that meant was that the Chiefs would lose by two touchdowns instead of three. Then, I watched Baltimore's game against the Lions. My goodness. Granted, the Lions are good enough to tap dance all over opposing defenses, but there's that and there's what I saw to end Week 3. That entire game totally siphoned away all of my confidence in Baltimore in Week 4.
