Hometown New York City Brooklyn
For people living in small to mid-size hometowns, it is easy to write about their towns. However, for someone like me who was born and raised in New York City, it is rather difficult. Therefore I will look upon the borough of Brooklyn as my small town away from the teeming streets of Manhattan and the other boroughs. If you know about Brooklyn and find a neighborhood missing it is just that I wrote about all the ones I knew and where I have been. I was born in a very quiet corner of Brooklyn called Bay Ridge so I began my tour there. Williamsburg in Brooklyn is a vibrant, active community represented by many different ethnic groups such as Italians, Puerto Ricans, Dominicans, and Hasidic Jews. Greenpoint is the northernmost neighborhood in this borough and lies to the southwest of Williamsburg. As I continue I will paste the links for the neighborhoods I have written about below.

You can also spend some time people-watching. In the open-air Plaza local bands perform in the evenings on weekends.

Teen Idols of Yesterday
It is enough to say that to have a complete and happy youth is to be able to sigh and cheer for teen idols. To have your favorites that make a teenage girl's heart beat faster. The motto is to love them desperately and to never forget them or their music. Unfortunately, these times are over but never in my memory.

Hope Springs Eternal
I am a wreck. A total wreck. What has happened? Well, I have not been swept away by any natural disaster, no speeding express train has struck me, and I have not been in a car accident. What has happened is that another Vocal Challenge has come and swept over me like an artificial tsunami. I always check out the challenges and choose the ones that I am sure I can handle and follow the instructions. So far, as much as I have submitted not a nibble.

The Ghosts of Texas
The Catfish Plantation Restaurant is located in Waxahachie, Texas not far from Dallas. The town of Waxahachie can be seen in such movies as “Places of the Heart”, “Tender Mercies”, and “A Trip to Bountiful”. It has also been filmed in other TV movies and television series because of its historical buildings, houses, and courthouse. The restaurant itself is popular because of the spirits that inhabit it.
