The Venice of the North
Amsterdam, the capital of The Netherlands is known for its artistic heritage, impressive canal system and narrow houses that have gabled facades. A great way to get around the city is by bike as there are 400 km of bicycling paths. Found within the province of North Holland, Amsterdam is colloquially referred to as the 'Venice of the North', attributed by the large number of canals which form a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

Rotterdam in South Holland
This is a most amazing city that got completely bombed in WW II but bounced back better than ever completely rebuilt. It has lots of interesting architecture to delight the eye. Rotterdam is located in South Holland, the Netherlands. The city sits on the Rhine-Meuse-Scheldt river delta at the North Sea. Today it is home to Europe’s largest port.

Antwerp on the Scheldt River
You’ll find Belgium’s international port city, Antwerp on the Scheldt River. In the very heart of the city is the centuries-old Diamond District where many traders, cutters and polishers live. Founded in 1663 the city’s Royal Academy of Fine Arts is today a well-known European fashion academy.

Casablanca Morocco
Africa is the world’s second largest continent. The continent is surrounded by the Mediterranean Sea to the north, by the Suez Canal and the Red Sea along the Sinai Peninsula to the northeast, the Indian Ocean to the southeast and the Atlantic Ocean to the west. Africa has been referred to as a mysterious place for travelers to visit and as the place for safari lovers.

Insanity Reigns
“Crazy Little Thing Called Love” is a song by the British rock band Queen. It was written by Freddie Mercury in 1979 and is included on the band’s 1980 album The Game. The song charted on the UK Singles chart and became their first number one single on the Billboard Hot 100 chart. Mercury played rhythm guitar performing the song live. A live performance was recorded in the albums Queen Rock Montreal, Queen on Fire – Live at the Bowl, Live at Wembley ’86, and Hungarian Rhapsody: Queen Live in Budapest.

The Awesome Music of Smokie
This English rock band originally spelled their name as Smokey. The band comes from Bradford, Yorkshire, England. They have had many great hit singles and are still touring. Among their most popular singles are “If You Think You Know How to Love Me”, “Don’t Play Your Rock ‘n’ Roll to Me”, “and Lay Back in the Arms of Someone”. The hit by which they are most recognized is “Living Next Door to Alice”.

Walking Again in Manderley
British author Daphne Du Maurier was born on May 13, 1907. She became a well-known and popular writer of such wonderful novels as “Rebecca” written in 1938. Born in London, England she was educated in Paris, France. Creativity ran in the family since her father was a well-known actor and theater manager. After visiting the Cornwall coast of England she chose to make her home there and it became the setting for many of her novels.

Meaty Good
Europe Sweden Kottbullar are famous Swedish meatballs. These meatballs are crispy brown on the outside and have a tender texture on the inside. The meatballs are made with ground beef mixed with pork or veal and seasoned with onions, salt, pepper, and allspice. Once mixed, they are shaped into small, round meatballs and browned in hot butter. The meatballs are served with lingonberry sauce, creamy mashed potatoes, and thick gravy. For a lighter meal, they can be served with cucumber salad or red cabbage.

Windy Wellington
New Zealand’s capital Wellington, sits close to North Island’s southernmost point on Cook Strait. This is a compact city that has a mix of different things such as a waterfront promenade, sandy beaches, a working harbor and colorful houses made with timber sitting on the surrounding hills. The weather is usually sunny and mild but strong winter winds have been known to blow through Cook Strait, giving the city the nickname “Windy Wellington”.
