Power Rangers Review: "The Mutiny: Part III"
This landmark special arc began with a huge bang: the debut of Lord Zedd. Part I saw Zedd eject Rita Repulsa from the moon palace due to her numerous failures to defeat the Power Rangers, and it ended with Zedd releasing the Pirantishead monster, who froze four of the five Dinozords. Things were turned up in Part II, as Pirantishead placed Tyrannosaurus and Dragonzord under his evil control, resulting in Zordon presenting brand new Zords to the Rangers: the Thunderzords.

Even now, 30 years later, I still fondly remember this three-part arc that kicked off the second season of Mighty Morphin Power Rangers. It was absolutely epic, legendary, and iconic for sure, and every time I rewatch all three parts, my inner nine-year-old beams with joy. Part I, of course, featured the debut of Lord Zedd, who was the higher-up of Rita Repulsa and her minions. Within moments, he ejected Rita from the palace due to her constant failure to defeat the Power Rangers, all while Goldar, in the immortal words of the late, great Godfather of Soul himself, "sold her out for chicken change."

Power Rangers Review: "Doomsday"
As I mentioned in a past review, when I was a kid, I actually didn't like the group of episodes that aired after "The Green Candle" and before "Return of an Old Friend." The reason, for me, was simple: the Power Rangers felt empty without Tommy. I did grow out of that attitude as I got older, and I would enjoy that group of episodes again, as they definitely had their moments. However, if there was one episode from that brief period that I loved even back then, it was definitely "Doomsday."

Sol was once an aspiring film director whose dreams were crushed when she got into an accident that paralyzed her, yet Sunjae was able to give her hope to keep going in life. Sol becomes devastated when Sunjae commits suicide, which is where the story picks up in a timeslip.
